Is it possible to make fish and chips that taste good, but are low in fat?

Yes, I think so. You need to buy very fresh fish fillets, such as flathead or whiting. Coat them lightly with plain flour and cook until golden in a non-stick pan coated with olive oil.

The chips can be replaced with wedges. Cut medium-sized potatoes into thin wedges. Place in a saucepan with cold water, boil for two minutes, then drain. Toss wedges with 1 tbsp olive oil mixed with 1 tsp dried oregano, 1 tsp paprika and a pinch of curry powder. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and cook in a hot oven at 250°C for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
